Alpine Jay

from $33.00

This fine art print of a Whiskey Jack was originally hand-drawn using archival ink pens. I’ve always found these curious birds to be a true sign of the alpine, their playful nature and keen eyes always watching for a snack. Though they go by many names, from "Whiskey Jack", “Canada Jay”, “Grey Jay” and "Camp Robber," their antics and fearless approach to humans remain the same. The name “Whiskey Jack” is derived from the Cree word "Wisakedjak," a trickster spirit, and it’s easy to see why. With their constant antics and fearless approach to humans, they are as much a part of the alpine landscape as the towering peaks themselves.

Printed on acid-free fine art paper using archival inks. Each print is hand-signed and numbered by the artist, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

  • Limited Editions of 30
